Cookies Policy
Last updated: 29 March 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookies Policy explains how Chitral Skills Academy (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
By continuing to use our site after you see our cookie notice, you agree to the use of cookies in line with this policy, except where you choose “Essential only” in our banner, in which case we only use essential and preference storage as described below.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your actions or preferences over time.
We also use similar technologies such as local storage (e.g. to remember your cookie choice or display theme). In this policy we refer to all of these as “cookies” where the idea is the same: storing information on your device to make the site work or to understand usage.
3. How we use cookies
We group our use into the following categories:
Strictly necessary
Required for the website to function: for example, remembering that you have made a choice in our cookie banner so we do not show it on every page load.
Preferences
If you use our theme toggle (light/dark/system), your preference may be stored locally on your device so the site looks the same when you return. This does not identify you personally.
Optional / analytics (if you accept)
If we add audience measurement (for example to see which pages are most useful), we will only load those tools when you choose “Accept all” in our banner. Until then, we do not use analytics cookies for tracking.
4. Third-party content
Some pages include embedded content from other services: for example Google Maps on our contact page or YouTube where we embed video. Those providers may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies when you interact with the embed (for example to play a video or load a map).
We do not control those cookies. Please review Google’s and YouTube’s privacy and cookie information if you want to know more. Where possible we use privacy-enhanced embed options (such as YouTube’s no-cookie domain) to reduce tracking before you interact.
5. Your choices
When you first visit, you can choose “Accept all” or “Essential only” (or dismiss the banner, which we treat the same as essential only). Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under a key specific to our site.
You can clear site data or cookies at any time through your browser settings. If you clear storage, you may see the cookie banner again on your next visit.
You can also use browser settings to block or delete cookies globally; some parts of the site may not work as expected if you block strictly necessary storage.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookies Policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the bottom will be revised when we do. Please check this page occasionally.
